Established in 1991 in Fort McMurray, Points North Gallery, (previously known as Gallery at Frames & More) provides knowledgeable service in custom picture framing and offers a gallery of diverse original Canadian artwork, with a focus on local and regional artists.
GALLERY – The Points North Gallery is a space for original Canadian art and high quality artisan gifts. We currently represent more than two dozen Canadian artists with a special focus on local and regional. We have a diverse range of art and are continually changing the display to reflect new artwork. The Gallery hosts regular Art Exhibitions with featured artists in attendance as well as Saturday at the Gallery events featuring demonstrations by artists. Come and visit us often, the Gallery spaces are continually changing.
PICTURE FRAMING – Points North Gallery has offered high quality, custom picture framing in Fort McMurray since 1991. We offer fully archival picture framing utilizing the highest quality acid free products to maintain the integrity of your work of art. With qualified, knowledgeable staff, you can be assured that your treasures are in good hands.
FLORENCE WEBER – The owner and manager of Points North Gallery since 1991, Florence brings 26 years of working experience to both picture framing and the local arts scene. Florence was born in Edmonton and with her family moved to the small, frontier community of Anzac, Alberta in 1958. Being in Fort McMurray before the oil sands were developed established a deep rooted connectedness to this northern region’s people and culture that goes beyond the surface development.
SUPPORT IN THE COMMUNITY – Along with supporting the arts, Florence supports many community events and charities both personally and professionally. An active gardener, Florence’s beautiful garden at Points North Gallery has been recognized by Communities in Bloom many times. The initiatives and charities that are close to Florence’s heart and are supported by the Points North Gallery involve seniors, the Foodbank, Big Brothers Big Sisters, Children 1st and developmentally challenged people.
